First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Daniel Brito de Freitas and and I’m an young Astrophysicist and Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal in Northeast Brazil. My main sources of investigation are Stellar Astrophysics and Statistical Mechanics. Specifically, in the context of Statistical Mechanics, I use a new approach known as Nonextensive Statistical Mechanics proposed by Brazilian Physicist C. Tsallis. Recently, I was awarded in XXVIII General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union in IAU Symposium 294 Solar and Astrophysical Dynamos and Magnetic Activity in Beijing, China. The awarded work is entitle: A nonextensive approach for the angular momentum loss-mass stars (see photo above – right: Prof. Alexander Kosovichev; middle: Me; left: Prof. Yihua Yan).
